Be under no illusions! Decorating is a true Craft, and takes years to learn properly
For some very strange reason today people simply assume that because they once slapped a coat of cheap, inferior quality DIY paint over the walls of their rented flat, that somehow makes them a Decorator!
How very wrong, and clearly deluded that is!

If you were not interested in science at School, you are going to struggle.
Every product used in Decorating is science - fact!
Every surface (substrate) being decorated is science - fact!
If you don't know the necessary sciences, you will fail - fact!
And then what do you do to correct things? When you don't know the sciences required to know why you failed?
Every surface, from an Internal wall to a timber door lining (frames have four sides, meaning obviously windows have frames, but door openings don't, despite us hearing this mistake continuously nowadays) are collectively known as Substrates, and each one has it's own science.
So what makes people think it's all easy? What makes people continually house.y refer to completely imaginary components such as Bannisters?
it's very simple: no knowledge and no experience is what!
Today's online "nfluencers" (comedians. are a disgrace to this fabulous craft, and are certainly to be avoided while they are purely out for followers to make them money. But why do people today support these comedians, when they wouldn't pay for poor workmanship?
If people genuinely love traditional properties, then people need to genuinely love traditional methods, and those methods have not been taught in the UK for over 40 years now, so think about this: how on earth can todays online comedian's actually be taken seriously when most were not even a glint in their fathers eye until long after these skills were taught?
